Now, obviously, this list of predictions could be entirely incorrect. It’s based on the last few years and emerging baby name trends – such as a preference for gender neutral names– and it’s possible that a hot new TV show will swoop in and change everything. We’re honestly surprised no one’s named their kid Eleven yet.
But the list could give us a sense of what trendy names to expect for the year ahead, and which ones you may want to avoid if you’re keen on your child having a really unusual name.

No massive shockers there, right? Emma and Finn have been popular names for ages, and the majority of these names have popped up on the most common baby names lists for 2017 and 2016 (which is likely why they’ve been predicted for 2018, too).
